Metroid Fusion Review

http://ift.tt/2pE5Db3http://ift.tt/2pE5Db3

The Metroid Fusion is a Xenoblade game (which is still awesome), I feel like this is appropriate timing, and I’m not just unoriginal and lazy…. right? Here is complete Metroid Fusion Review:

LEVEL 1-1 STORY The story has never been the strong point of Metroid, but one element has been done beautifully in EVERY INSTALMENT, the atmosphere. This gives a mysterious, somewhat horror-oriented aesthetic, although the horror goes out the window the second you notice that YOUR ARM IS A GUN. The story itself is that after fighting Ridley for the 102348342728th time, <show picture of Ridley facing off samus> (hey, what’s up? KREEEEEEEE! Oh I knew she was no good for you.) you almost manage to die, but in a twist of fate are saved by a vaccine engineered from the DNA of the Metroid you were trying to kill. On the upside, you get an expensive new suit, but on the downside, your pride is destroyed. Moral of the story? Thou shall not cause environmental imbalances.

(Sassy Samus is Sassy) Then you go to investigate a ruined laboratory and it’s….. in shambles * queue generic shock noise* due to a mysterious virus connected to your suit turning the scientists into MONSTERS * queue even greater and more generic shock noise*. On the story side, nothing stands out except the characters, or character, as your robot companion is a stricter and less attractive version of Hal 9000 who provides a LOGICAL reason for yet again not having your powers. (but why can you download skills that you lost due to your suit being cut off? The world may never know.) Unlike Destiny, who only had the Dinklagetron200, Samus in this game is given a kind of interesting character. She is shown to hate having her powers restricted by a dumb robot/CO, she is a free spirit, and is only in this to make up a debt to a person named Adam (WHO NEVER HAS NOR WILL EVER BE EXPLORED). It’s all quite solid stuff, but she doesn’t interact with almost anyone, which is a downside. All in all this level gets a solid 7/10. I want to score it higher as a few things are improvements for the series, but it doesn’t exist in a vacuum where only Metroid games exist, and when compared to games even at the time, it doesn’t hold much water.

LEVEL 2-2 GAMEPLAY: This area is where the franchise has always shined, with ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTION, not only giving the game its infamous atmosphere, but also its level of action. The gameplay is heavily exploration-based and gives you only a vague understanding of where to go, which in a modern game might be a huge downside, but in this it is the stripper in the cake (that’s the expression right?) since, to stand a chance against the bosses, or even to advance the game, you need to find power-ups, or you might need to know a remixed version of the Konami code or remember a room that had no significance about three hours ago. This causes a lot of backtracking, which is a downside for some players. Others will find this high as this is a game of exploration, which gives a great feeling of “Yeah I conquered stuff like this about an hour ago so COME AT ME BRO, I GOT ICE BEAMS!!! HOW DOES IT FEEL JIMMY OLSEN!!!!!!!!!” (and now the internet knows what I want to do to my high school bullies). Speaking of child murder…. I MEAN boss fights, the bosses in this game are, while great, not up to par with the rest of the gameplay. Even when they are, i.e., the Ridley fights, they aren’t anything the series hasn’t done before. Another nice addition is that, due to Samus’ new suit and the zombie… things, < show generic grunt enemy> (we prefer the term livingly challenged) we have a canonical reason killing shit gives you health back, HALLELUJAH! All in all, I give this section an 8.5/10. This game does not fuck around in this department. It is hard, gritty and awesome. It has you by the horns with its gameplay, but lacks the necessary hardcore bosses to show it off.

LEVEL 3-3 SOUND AND VISUALS: This is another area in which the game shines like the love child of Reggie Fils-Aime and Shigeru Miyamoto. Forget to compare it to games of that era; it looks and sounds impressive by today’s insane standards. The surreal and grotesque level and enemy designs add layers to the atmosphere, helped even more by the soundtrack, which looks like the sci-fi equivalent of silent hill. Something I liked was the use of bright colors to add this disturbing “loss of happiness” feel. This has no downsides.. is what I would say if this wasn’t an action game. It takes away from the overall feel of the game and confuses me: should I be scared or should I be blowing shit up? All in all this area gets an 8/10. I wish I could give it a 9, but the horror aesthetics in it clash with a higher priority of game feel, the gameplay.

LEVEL 4-4 CONCLUSION: This game has so much freaky good in it that the bad sides are parts of other great games. All in all this game gets an 8/10. If they took the horror parts out of the story and level design and put it on the WiiU with a new IP, Nintendo would have a great horror game, but it wouldn’t fit in with the action heavy-vibe of the gameplay.

Prototype 2 Review

http://ift.tt/2pZkrCEhttp://ift.tt/2pZkrCE

If you are a gaming lover this Prototype 2 Review is for you.

You are Sgt. James Heller, a fearsome man that joined the army to put a stop to a menace named Alex Mercer.
But a mission gone wrong leads you to face to face with the pure evil that dwells within Mercer. This disease is known as the Mercer virus, a deadly plague-like force that turns humans into monsters, but not for Alex. He can control this disease and inherit God-like powers, and he wants you to have a share.

After numerous attempts of you trying to stop him, he infects you.  With the Mercer virus, as it runs through your veins, it turns you into a deadly bloodthirsty offspring of Alex Mercer. The military has turned against you, and you will struggle to gain allies and help because of your demonic powers.

As you progress through the game, you must level up, evolve, unlock more abilities and grow
much stronger as you set your mind to kill Alex Mercer. You are the prototype, the one that Alex has created; you must get revenge on Alex because his virus created monsters that murdered your family in cold blood. As a prototype, you can evolve your powers by draining it from the sorrow souls of the Mercer virus recipients. These Creatures are great abominations that must be stopped before they destroy the city, New York Zero. Don’t want to take these guys on?  Why not go after the military instead?

There are two approaches to the game. You can be sneaky and have a stealthy approach; sneak around consuming people, or just run in there and attempt to kill everyone. Personally, this is my favorite option. If you choose to hide from the forces of the military, you may consume people and military to change your appearance. While not playing you may want to check out Radnet, it is a service for prototype 2 that features events, and very cool skin unlocks to make James Heller look like a truly powerful man that is a force to be reckoned with.

In my opinion, the overall gameplay regarding controls, they did an excellent job, all the buttons are in a comfortable gaming position. I also think they did very well on the graphics for a game that was released in 2012. If you don’t consider yourself first, don’t worry.  Through playing the game or looking up some tips on Youtube you will learn to hone and control your powers, oh yeah did I mention that you can run up walls and do epic parkour tricks? Yes that’s right you can run up walls, Nuff said. All of that awesome stuff being mentioned I think that Prototype 2 is best suited for people that love destruction and blowing stuff up and overall feeling very powerful. You have all this power at your disposal, what you choose to do with it is entirely up to you.

Anyway, I hope you thoroughly enjoyed this review good luck to you all in destroying Alex Mercer, have an excellent fun time playing Radical Entertainment and Activision game prototype 2.

JVC HA-NC250 Noise Canceling Headphones Review

http://ift.tt/eA8V8Jhttp://ift.tt/eA8V8J

JVC HA-NC250 blends terrific sound quality that has noise-canceling and advanced technology of isolation for providing a superior experience to the listener. The circuitry noise collection of HA-NC 250 involves the feedback technology that monitors the process of noise cancellation continuously. These results in the elimination of 85 percent of unnecessary background noise from the headphones. The HA-NC250 also provides two innovations of JVC for blocking the noise. Further, this helps in isolating the user from sounds coming from outside. To provide an extra sound layer of insulation, every earpiece utilizes double housing structure.

Buy Now on Amazon

A new technique was developed by JVC the headphones for isolating the background noise, and that was done by attaching the cushioned ear pads of the headphone to the housing. This feature is essential and can be used with the energetic cancellation of noise switched off. The new headphone utilizes a neodymium driver of 40mm in each earpiece to get the best quality of sound. The JVC HANC250 to provide portability and comfort has headphones that are lightweight and weighs just 5.3 ounces. It can also be folded flat and includes a detachable cord of four-foot, slim carrying case, and plug adapter of ¼ inch and airline dual plug adapter. This can be used with most of the home video and audio components. Around 1.5-volt AAA battery is employed by the headphones to power the circuitry of the noise cancellation. The life of the battery is about 50 hours.

It also has an excellent quality of sound, specifically bass, but they are quite tight around the head especially when you are wearing it for a longer time. The JVC was being tested in a very noisy server room, and its performance was spectacularly good. There were few things that are absent in the Solitude Plane Quiet II headset when compared to JVC, and they are:
JVC is extremely light and comfortable and have good build quality as well
They have better performance of noise canceling in spite of the ear design and also offer good sound insulation.
JVC has well-balanced treble and bass, good sound quality and zero hisses.
JVC needs only one battery and has better battery life.

Buy Now on Amazon

There are few more benefits of purchasing JVCs such as they have standard cable and when the battery dies, they are also provided with the audio passthrough. JVCs are non-proprietary and have single AAA battery. They also have great value tradeoff as compared to the Bose QCIII or II.
There are few problems with the JVCs like, on the headset, they are not provided with the volume dial control, and the cable of the headset is quite short, it is only 43 inches in length. Hence it gets tricky to use with the equipment of the home stereo. The other problem is it gets slightly difficult to replace the battery, as it includes popping out the right earpiece.

Few tips required when carrying JVCs, first one is keeping a few extra batteries inside the case of the headphone, in the accessory pouch. Second is to keeping the business card in the same pouch.
